Employment Opportunities


The Calhoun County 9-1-1 District will accept applications in person Monday, January 30th, 2017 through Friday, February 10th, 2017, during normal business hours (Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) for the position of Telecommunicator I.  All applications must be submitted in person at our office located at 507 Francis Street West, Jacksonville, AL 36265.  Applicant must be able to provide state issued identification.  Each applicant will be required to undergo basic pre-hire testing including a typing test, job ability test and personality test to establish a register to be used for up to 12 months.  Qualifications:  Must have high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, type 35 WPM, be available to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays, and must pass a drug screen, physical, and comprehensive background investigation.  Starting salary is $12.23 per hour with benefits.  Calhoun County 9-1-1 District is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
